Privacy Policy
Effective August 2026 · Divecut, by Motley Beaks Inc.
Divecut is built to work entirely on your device. This policy describes the little data that exists and where it goes.
Your footage
- Divecut never uploads, copies, or modifies your video and photo files. It references them in place and stores only its own catalog (thumbnails, ratings, detected metadata) locally on your device.
- Search is powered by an on-device machine-learning model. Your footage and search queries never leave your device.
What we don’t collect
- No account is required and none exists.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs are embedded in the app.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or usage profiles.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. To validate purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-generated identifier and your purchase receipt — never your footage or personal identity. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Local network
The optional DaVinci Resolve integration runs a server that listens only on your own machine (localhost), protected by an authentication token. It is not reachable from the network and transfers nothing outside your computer.
Support email
If you email us, we keep the correspondence to handle your request and nothing else.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
